Mia is a Certified Family Life Educator and Marriage and Family Therapy Intern. Mia specializes in working with families, kids, and couples. Using a systemic approach, Mia helps empower clients to improve their relationships, achieve change, and increase their understanding of their challenges. Mia approaches therapy from the standpoint of ‘the client is the expert in their own life, and I am an instrument to help them get to the next level.’
Using an eclectic combination of Emotionally Focused, Structural, and Collaborative Therapies, Mia attunes to the clients’ needs and lets the clients’ dynamic and comfort level guide the process.
Also certified in Motivational Interviewing skills, Mia is passionate about helping clients achieve change through their own unique strengths.
Approaching therapy from a nonjudgmental, open, and accepting perspective with belief in the inherent worth of all people, Mia has experience with the LGBTQ community and multicultural families. From helping parents solve discipline challenges to guiding couples in relationship enrichment, Mia helps families develop uniquely tailored plans to navigate the waters of their family’s own extraordinary journey.
